Have
you ever wondered about the origin of your favorite song?
Billie
Joe Armstrong was born on February 17, 1972. He is an American rock
musician and occasional actor, best known as the lead vocalist, main
songwriter and lead guitarist for the punk rock band, Green Day.
Billie
was born in Piedmont, California, a small town surrounded by the city
of Oakland, and was rised in Rodeo. His father, Andy Armstrong, died
of cancer, in September, when Billie was 10 years old. He got
depressed and spent weeks in his bedroom. When his mother noticed he
had a problem, she went to talk with him. When she tried to convince
him to go out, he denied and answered: “Leave me alone and wake me
up when September ends”. That’s the origin of the famous song
called “Wake Me Up When September Ends”.
