One Direction is a boyband. There are 5 of them in the band: Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik.
History
In 2010, the guys presented themselves individually to the auditions for de TV programme "The X Factor", but they weren`t chosen for the "guys" category. After the suggestion of the judge Nicole Scherzinger, the five of them where put in a band, so they clasSified for the "groups" cathegory. After the programme, One Direction signed a singing agreement of 2 million euros with Syco Music.
The video "What Makes You Beautiful"became a hit even before being officially released.

tour,called "Up All Night", and the tickets were sold out in the first
